Mother's Day Tea

My mom, sister and I planned a tea party to celebrate Mothers' Day this year and it was so nice that I think we may have started a tradition! :) Everything turned out beautifully, and the food was amazing...let us know if you'd like to book a private tea party of your own! :)

Water Babies

Funny how kids seem immune to freezing cold water...our pool definitely has some warming up to do before I'm ready to dive in, but these two aren't fazed at all. With all this beautiful weather we've been getting, it certainly won't be long before the pool is ready to go, but for now my kids will soak up all the fun.

The Real Housewives of East County

As beautiful as Santee/El Cajon/Lakeside is, us girlies needed to get away for a bit to see how the less fortunate live. So we headed up to Newport Beach for the weekend. I really don't know how those people survive with all those trendy restaurants, upscale shopping, lush landscaped lined roads, the beach right across the street...it must get really old.

We started off our adventure at True Foods restaurant at Fashion Island, and we were glad we did. This place specializes in anti-inflammatory food, and sources it ingredients locally and from organic farms when possible. And the best news? They are coming to Fashion Valley very soon! Try the chicken tortilla soup! It's amazeballs...

All this delicious and healthy food set us up perfectly for some pampering at the beautiful hotel spa. Massages and facials left us feeling refreshed {or maybe that was the yummy cucumber lemon water?} and ready for some relaxing by the pool.

The next couple of days were spent shopping till we dropped, partaking in some tasty food and beverages, and soaking up some much needed girl time.

Mommy’s Day

I got super spoiled by my family this year for Mothers' Day. Not only did Jayden take me out on a date to see the new 3D Pirates movie, but he also made me a flower pot and a lovely card.

The hubby pampered me with Starbucks and cooked my favorite morning meal: breaky burritos. He also got me a Keurig machine so that whipping up my morning cup of joe is a breeze! I love it!

And Gracie awarded me extra hugs, giggles and gap-toothed grins. I just love this lil family of mine!

Bathing Cuties

There's never a lack of messy faces, snotty noses and dirty piggies around my household, so it's a blessing that my kiddos love bath time. Especially now that they get to play in the tub together. All I have to do is turn the water on and Gracie starts squealing with delight, and then waits anxiously at the edge of the tub while it's being filled. And the best part for me? I can't get enough of sweet bath time pics! Rub a dub...

What Happens in Vegas...

Stays in Vegas leaves you returning home completely exhausted, reminding you of the fact that you are no longer 20 years old and immune to hangovers...but it also leaves you with a week full of fantastic memories {of which many will definitely stay in Vegas!}. Here are a few of my favorite moments:

Seeing these two handsome devils dressed up to go to the club. Ya that's right. The club. That's a place I hadn't seen in a while...maybe because I feel like the mom from "Knocked Up" every time I think about it? But seriously, we danced our arses off & it wasn't until I couldn't even stand in my one square inch space without getting toppled over that we decided it was wise to move on {now that's the 30 year old talkin!}

Cabana 5. Lazy river views + 100 degree heat + comfy loungers in the shade + frosty margaritas = all the reasons reserving our own cabana for the day was the best decision ever. We were literally at the pool from 10am to 5pm {they pretty much had to kick us out}. And aside from having to paddle rigorously on our tube floats in order to avoid all of the water fountains in the "lazy" river {which is hereby dubbed the UN-lazy river}, it was an awesomely relaxing time. Btw, would anyone like to loan us $500k so that we can build our very own lazy river in our side yard?

The Great Tower of Chicken and Waffles, aka Jason's dinner from Hash House at the Plaza. FYI - ginormous meals prior to a big night out on the town = bad idea. We pretty much passed out in the middle of the downtown strip.

Our upgraded Hollywood suite. Hotel partttaay!

Even though I miss my munchkins dearly when we leave them for a few days, it was sooo nice to get a few days of adult fun and relaxation. Thanks to Sara & Garrett for an awesome time, and thanks to the babysitters for allowing us to get away!
