Eggs & Frilly Dresses

So I'm a bit behind here (obvi!), but I figured I'd share a few pics from our Easter celebrations. Jayden and his cousins went on an egg hunt in the motor home at Carlsbad state beach the Friday before Easter. And on Sunday I squeezed Gracie into a 0-3 month old dress because she hadn't worn in yet and it was just too darn cute to let all those ruffles go to waste. Who says all those snaps on the bottom need to be used anyway? Those sweet little rolls kept the dress on just fine...

Chipotle

is awesome. And Santee is going to have one soon, which means J and I are going to have to refrain from eating it so much that we get sick of it. But until then it's quite a treat when we make it all the way out to La Mesa. And the kids seem to enjoy it too :) Well, at least the times when Gracie isn't beating up on Jayden. He takes it like a man.

You Know I Like My Chicken Fried

I really should have paid more attention to this small detail when purchasing these tix for Jason's birthday {but we live in San Diego, so who can blame me?} What this really should have said is "Rain, or Hail, or Wind, or Torrential Downpour, or Shine. Because that's what we got. And it was an incredibly fun time despite my reservations about attending a concert in an outdoor venue during a rainstorm. But we dressed accordingly {raincoats, boots, hats/beanies, positive attitudes} and braved the soggy grass...because we are true Zac Brown Band fans. And because we had a few beers/cocktails before going in {funny how that rain doesn't bother you after a couple hours of tailgating!} And when the Devil Went Down {to Georgia}, so did the pounding hail, as if perfectly choreographed with the music. And it only added to the awesomeness.

Weekend Wrap Up

Well hello there! So much to catch up on here {this blog is an outlet for me, but I also use it to document "life" and all the little stuff that goes on that we forget about!}...so I'll just start by summing up the wonderful weekend! I must begin with a bragging session on my thoughtful hubby. The little sneak directed me to Jamba Juice after work on Friday afternoon, only to lead me to Massage Envy for a surprise massage! And then I found out he ordered me up two more rounds for whenever I am feeling a bit tight in the shoulders {which is ALWAYS!}. Oh, and to add to the sweetness, he got a babysitter & took me to one of my favorite restaurants, Terra! Love! What a great guy I have...just sayin...

Saturday morning we celebrated one of the cutest growing bellies ever...baby showers are definitely one of my favorite events to attend...the food, baby talk, fun details, teensy outfits, silly games, mimosas...oh, and how gorg is that baby mama! She definitely makes pregnancy look effortless. Can't wait to meet little Mickey! {er, Batman?}!

Sunday morning we indulged in what has become a Sunday ritual: homemade breaky burritos and coffee {for me!} and lots of cuddling & QT with the kiddos. We have missed church lately due to Gracie's nap schedule, but for now we are taking advantage of lazy Sundays & we'll be back as soon as the babers turns to afternoon siestas!
