That my brother can mimic a miserable balloon

...and that he is also possessed

That if you are at Bub's and someone asks "Hey, are you gonna eat your tot's?", the answer is always "Heck ya!".  Best. Tots. Ever. Period. {FYI, the mini corn dogs are bomb as well, not that I eat that stuff}

That people can even make balloons dirty {ok, you probably knew that}

That Gracie can roll her tongue. This girl has unbelievable talent

That us folks in East County are a refined community

That my husband knows how to pick the cards that are truly heart warming

Awkward and Awesome Thursday!

Awkward

Being a new mom at the preschool. No one recognizes you when you pick up your child so all of the workers give you a look that says "Who are you & why are you trying to steal one of our children?"

 

Eyelash curlers. I always end up either pinching the skin on my upper lid or grabbing some lower lashes in the mechanism ...resulting in some serious pain or unsightly lash kinks.

Running into a familiar {male} face at target with unmentionables at the top of your shopping basket. Why oh why didn't I bury those at the bottom of my stack just in case??

Awesome

Barbeque Pop Chips. Low cal and delicious? Yes please.

Turbo Kickboxing class at 24 hour fitness...Definitely some awkward moments in there, but this class kicks my arse.

Any little outfits with ears. I should have birthed a baby bear :)

And lastly...finding my hubby and son simultaneously working away on their computers..they are just soooo busy :)

Babies Don't Keep

I cannot believe how quickly those two small lines on a stick have transformed themselves into a perfect little individual; one with her own unique personality and responses to the world around her. I rock my baby girl to sleep at night and am overwhelmed with love for this precious little soul. Sometimes I feel like I am letting these treasured moments pass by and let the stresses in my life overshadow the truly important things. My house is a mess. The kind of mess that requires days of organizing and scrubbing. And the messier it gets, the grumpier I get.

But my mess will be waiting for me tomorrow, just as I left it. And eventually it will get cleaned and scrubbed and everything will be organized and fresh. But my babies won't stay as I left them. They change every day. Growing, learning, developing...

So quiet down chores. I will see you another day. I'm cuddling with my baby...babies don't keep.

Rainy Days and Sundays…

…always get me down happy! But oh soooo lazy. After a loooong night {Jayden and J weren’t feeling too hot}, we decided to spend the morning in our PJ’s, cuddle with the babies on the couch, cook some d-lish breaky, and enjoy the pitter patter of the rain outside…which of course called for a fire in the fireplace. If that isn’t a recipe for cozyness, I don’t know what is…
